Situated in the northern suburbs of Canberra, Calvary Health Care ACT comprises of a combined 364-bed public and private hospitals. The recently refurbished facility includes an Emergency Department, Intensive and Coronary Care Unit, Medical and Surgical wards, a Maternity Unit and a voluntary Psychiatric ward.

Originally built in 1979, Calvary was the second public hospital in the ACT at the time. The present-day public hospital now contains 250 beds and is linked with Canberra’s three universities as a teaching hospital. Also located within the complex is the 95-bed private hospital, opened in 1987. In addition, Calvary Health Care also encompasses a 19-bed hospice, Clare Holland House, positioned on the shores of Lake Burley Griffin.

Calvary Public Hospital provides the following specialist services: Emergency Medicine, Anaesthetics, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Ophthalmology, Cardiology, Head and Neck Surgery, Orthopaedics, ICU/CCU, Plastics, Endocrinology, Neonatology, Mental Health, Ear nose and throat, Neurology, Respiratory, Gastroenterology, Rheumatology, General medicine, Maternity, Urology, General surgery, Oncology and a Breast Care Nursing Service.
